Un doctor, de Manuel Payno, antecedente vampírico

Abstract

Este artículo tiene el objetivo de mostrar que durante el siglo xix hubo varios autores mexicanos que escribieron dentro del género fantástico. Manuel Payno, uno de los más importantes narradores de ese siglo, escribió un cuento que también puede ser considerado como un antecedente de literatura vampírica en México, lo cual es un descubrimiento importante y aquí se dan las evidencias del hallazgo y sus características vampíricas.

This paper will show that during 19th century there were many authors who wrote fantastic literature. Manuel Payno, one of the most important writers of the century, wrote a tale that can be considered an antecedent in the vampiric literature in Mexico. This is an important discovery. Here I will give some evidence of this finding and its characteristics.
