Las tecnologías emergentes y su impacto en el ámbito laboral: el caso del teletrabajo

Abstract

Este artículo aborda el reciente fenómeno del teletrabajo o trabajo a distancia, cuyo origen está en el avance de las telecomunicaciones y de la informática, con lo que se ha ampliado y diversificado el espectro del ámbito laboral en las organizaciones. Esta nueva modalidad laboral reconfigura la estructura de la llamada organización virtual u holográfica. Parecería que con el arribo del teletrabajo tanto las organizaciones, especialmente las empresas, como los gobiernos y los propios trabajadores deberán adaptarse a esta modalidad a la vez que aprovechar las ventajas que ofrece y tratar de contrarrestar los inconvenientes.

This article discusses the recent phenomenon of teleworking or telecommuting, whose origin is in the development of telecommunications and information technology, which has been expanded and diversified spectrum of the workplace in organizations. This new form of work reconfigures the structure of the virtual call or holographic organization. It would seem that with the advent of telecommuting both organizations, especially businesses, and governments and workers themselves must adapt to this mode while leverage the advantages and try to counter the disadvantages.
