The photocatalyst Ag-Eu/graphite- TiO₂ was synthesized, first by the sol-gel method the titania was prepared, then it was doped with graphite (1%) and with Eu and Ag (0.5%). The effect of the presence of silver and europium on the photocatalytic properties of Ag-Eu / graphite- TiO₂ was studied. Materials prepared with TiO₂ have the anatase crystalline phase. The results indicate that the structural effect of the TiO₂ materials is low when graphite, europium and silver are added. However, the differences in the photocatalytic properties were very notable. The best photocatalytic activity was obtained with UV light and the dye with the greatest degradation was Black 5. Furthermore, materials doped with graphite and metals were active with visible light.
