Titanium dioxide materials were synthesized by the sol-gel method, in which the amount of water was modified during synthesis. The synthesized materials were studied by SEM and specific areas by the BET method. TiO₂ morphology changed to vary the amount of synthesis water. Compact with low porosity structures were obtained at low water concentrations and porous agglomerates were formed at high water concentrations. In general, the specific area increased with the increase of synthesis water.
