En este ensayo ofrecemos un breve panorama de la llamada novela criminal y sus diversas variantes. A manera de marco histórico, describimos la crisis integral del capitalismo mexicano y su entorno criminal para, al final, analizar novelas de Juan Villoro y Daniel Sada. Consideramos a estos autores mexicanos parte de una novedosa generación cuyos textos conducen a significaciones ideológico-estéticas y, siempre, con un trasfondo político. En este sentido, son transgresores de una novelística asociada a la violencia y al narcotráfico que nunca rebasa el discurso oficial del sistema hegemónico. In this essay we offer a brief panorama of the so-called criminal novel and its different variants. As a historical framework, we describe the integral crisis of Mexican capitalism and its criminal environment to finally analyze novels by Juan Villoro and Daniel Sada. We consider these Mexican authors part of a new generation whose texts lead to ideological-aesthetic meanings and always with a political background. In these sense, they are transgressors of a novel associated with violence and drug trafficking that never exceeds the official discourse of the hegemonic system.
