In the process of exterimental–correlational research, data collection instruments are proposed for quantitative research in graphic communication design projects. This article shows the technical and methodological challenges to integrate research techniques in experiments applied to the design discipline. The approach to follow proposes exploring with an eye–tracking device, to determine exactly what participants are looking at during the process. In addition, an electroencephalogram will be performed to identify the areas that are stimulated when viewing content mediated by digital screens. Likewise, an exit survey will be carried out to corroborate the participants’ responses with the data provided by the different instruments.
