En la educación del diseño, este fenómeno tiene un impacto significativo en la formación de los estudiantes, influyendo en sus perspectivas profesionales y en la ética de su práctica. A través de una revisión de la literatura se identifican los principales componentes del currículum oculto y sus efectos en el desarrollo de habilidades críticas, la creatividad y la comprensión del rol del diseñador en la sociedad. Los hallazgos sugieren que, aunque el currículum oculto puede reforzar prácticas que forman parte de la cultura del diseño, como el diálogo y el fortalecimiento de la relación docente-estudiante, también puede promover otras que impactan de forma negativa en la comunidad estudiantil. Se concluye con recomendaciones y rutas por explorar para integrar una conciencia crítica del currículum oculto en la formación de diseño, promoviendo una educación más inclusiva y reflexiva.The hidden curriculum refers to values, attitudes, and behaviors not explicitly taught but implicitly learned in the educational context. In design education, this phenomenon significantly impacts the training of students, influencing their professional perspectives and the ethics of their practice. A literature review identifies the main components of the hidden curriculum and its effects on the development of critical skills, creativity, and understanding of the designer’s role in society. The findings suggest that, although the hidden curriculum can reinforce practices that are part of the design culture, such as dialogue and the strengthening of the teacher-student relationship, it can also promote others that have a negative impact on the student community.
