Abstract

La arquitectura siempre busca el equilibrio entre dos polos: el natural y el artificial, el ideal y el factible. Necesitamos pasar de un modelo antropocéntrico a un modelo fisiocéntrico o biocéntrico, buscando el equilibrio de la dualidad humano-naturaleza. El factor paisaje da pautas de acción y reflexión. La situación ambiental actual y la creciente urbanización a escala mundial representan una gran amenaza. La necesidad de cambiar los procesos de construcción y ocupación del suelo es indiscutible y permea el pensamiento arquitectónico. La arquitectura y el urbanismo necesitan replantear su relación con la naturaleza y pasar de la dominación y el consumo al manejo eficiente. Arquitectura, urbanismo, ingenierías, políticas y actores involucrados deben encontrar sinergias proambientales.

Architecture is always seeking for balance between two poles, the natural and the artificial, the ideal and the feasible. We need to pass from an anthropocentric model to a fysiocentric or biocentric, looking for the balance of the duality human-nature. The landscape factor gives patterns of action and reflection. The actual ambient situation and the growing urbanization at global scale represent a great threat. The need to change the process of construction and soil occupation is indisputable and permeate the architectural thinking. Architecture and urbanism need to stake out their relation with nature, from a dominant consumption to a respectful and efficient handling. Architecture, urbanism, engineers, politics and Actors involved need to find pro ambient synergies.
