dc.description.abstractEste trabajo hace algunos aportes a la biografía del cronista tetzcocano Fernando de Alva Ixtlilxóchitl. A través del comentario de textos y el análisis comparativo de fuentes primarias se revisaron los siguientes temas: sus funciones como juez gobernador; la decadencia del cacicazgo de San Juan Teotihuacan; su residencia en la Ciudad de México; la institución en la que pudo recibir educación superior; y las implicaciones de haber sido sepultado en la parroquia de Santa Catarina Mártir de la capital novohispana.
dc.description.abstractThis work provides new clues about the biography of Fernando de Alva Ixtlilxóchitl, the chronicler of Tetzcoco. Through the commentary of text and comparative analysis of primary sources the following topics were reviewed: his responsibilities as judge-governor; the decline of cacicazgo of San Juan Teotihuacan; his residence in Mexico City; the educational institution in which Ixtlilxóchitl possibly received higher education; and socioeconomic implications of having been buried in the parish of Santa Catarina Mar-tyrat Mexico city.
