Se propone que el uso de la concatenación y yuxtaposición de imágenes permite al lector descubrir o develar la trama que subyace a la obra, la cual alude a secretos familiares, locura y malentendidos. Asimismo, se establece que Tepetongo, el espacio de la novela, es equiparable a otras narrativas emblemáticas de la literatura mexicanas como Comala o La Matosa.This paper discusses some of the narrative strategies used by Severino Salazar in the novel Where the Cathedrals Should Be. It is proposed that the use of concatenation and juxtaposition of images allows the reader to discover or reveal the plot that underlies the work, which alludes to family secrets, madness and misunderstandings.
