El yo como ficción

Abstract

La vida es básicamente inconclusa, posee un carácter no terminado. Es decir, somos indigentes ontológicos. Este yo en fuga es el de la persona, un yo ético que siempre está lanzado hacia otra parte. Para curar este escape hacia el porvenir, contamos con nuestro pasado, sobre el cual es posible ejercer una mirada narrativa, configurarlo como totalidad dramática y de esta manera convertirnos personajes. En este ensayo expongo –con la ayuda de Mijaíl Bajtín y Paul Ricoeur– cómo conviven la inconclusividad ética –mi yo en fuga, en devenir– y la conclusividad estética –mi yo fraguado como imagen de mí mismo frente al otro–. Life is basically unfinished, it has an unfinished character. That is, we are homeless ontological. This fleeing self is that of the person, an ethical self that is always thrown elsewhere. To cure this escape into the future, we have our past, on which it is possible to exercise a narrative look, configure it as a dramatic totality and thus become characters. In this essay I explain –with the help of Mikhail Bakhtin and Paul Ricoeur– how the ethical inconclusivity coexists –my fleeing self, becoming– and the aesthetic conclusiveness –my setting as an image of myself in front of the other–.
