    In this study the capacity of mordenite type zeolite and erionite type zeolite was evaluated, for both, natural and homoionic sodic state for removing Cr3+ from tannery wastewater, lab tests were made in intermittent reactor studies and in fixed bed reactor studies. The studied wastewater, were liquors from a México City ́s tannery. At the same time, with the natural zeolites, tests of chromium removal were made in batch reactors type with synthetic adsorbent the activated charcoal and zeolite 4 A type, used in their commercial form, this is in order to compare the capacity of the natural zeolites in relation with the capacity of adsorbent the synthetic ones for the removal of Cr3+ of the wastewater.
