La interacción significativa de los gráficos urbanos de la ciudad en la identidad de sus habitantes

Abstract

En la construcción de la imagen de una ciudad confluyen todas sus partes, estableciendo relaciones funcionales, pero en las que transitan muchas de las emociones y sensaciones de quienes la habitan, creando una relación dialéctica en la que los habitantes construyen a la ciudad y ésta a su vez construye a sus habitantes. Las relaciones espaciales de los habitantes dentro de la ciudad les permiten asociar sus valores y su cultura con el gran repertorio de imágenes que a diario perciben como parte de la interacción con su entorno; esta experiencia visual cotidiana con la imagen escenográfica del lugar se revela como un factor determinante en la memoria e identidad de las personas. El estudio del paisaje urbano es un quehacer multidisciplinario y una de las disciplinas que nos ayuda a abordarlo es la comunicación visual, porque la gráfica urbana nos permite reconocer un aspecto más de la cultura e identidad del sitio y de quienes lo habitan.

In the construction of the image of a city, all its parts converge establishing functional relationships, but in which many of the emotions and sensations of those who inhabit it pass, creating a dialectical relationship in which the inhabitants build the city and the city at the same time builds the inhabitants. The spatial relationships of the inhabitants within the city allow them to associate their values and their culture with the great repertoire of images that they perceive daily as part of the interaction with their surroundings, this daily visual experience with the scenography image of the place is revealed as a determining factor in the memory and identity of people. The study of the urban landscape is a multidisciplinary task and one of the disciplines that helps us to approach it is visual communication, because urban graphics allows us to recognize one more aspect of the culture and identity of the site and of those who inhabit it.
