En el presente trabajo se hace un estudio relacionado con la usabilidad de los sitios Web y la posibilidad de detectar áreas de mejora mediante la aplicación de evaluaciones heurísticas, tomando como caso de estudio el sitio Web de la UAM Azcapotzalco. Se comienza por hacer una revisión de la disciplina llamada Interacción Hombre Computadora, que es la disciplina bajo la cual se encuentra la Usabilidad, posteriormente se hace un recorrido por el concepto de usabilidad y usabilidad Web, para más adelante, enfocarse en un método de evaluación de usabilidad por inspección que son las evaluaciones heurísticas. Los resultados muestran que, efectivamente mediante las evaluaciones heurísticas es posible identificar áreas de mejora aplicables a sitio Web de la UAM Azcapotzalco, sin embargo, medir el nivel de usabilidad de un sitio Web no es nada trivial.
