Resumen: | This research work presents the synthesis of heterogeneous catalysts with iron oxide and supported on two different types of alumina. The precipitation synthesis method was used with two different precipitating agents: urea and ammonium hydroxide on two commercial alumina supports with different morphologies and particle sizes, in order to identify the best surface to support the metal oxide. The catalysts obtained were characterized by conventional techniques. It was concluded that after using different methods for incorporating Fe into alumina and based on the characterization results, it was determined that the best method is precipitation using urea as a precipitating agent, since it allowed having a higher percentage of iron impregnated in the support maintaining the crystalline structure of the support and also a good distribution of the iron oxide in the hematite phase on the alumina. |
