Los sombreros en la vida cotidiana
Abstract
El sombrero, como prenda de vestir que se remonta hasta los imperios de la antigüedad, además de su función de cubrir la cabeza contra el sol y el frío, ha sido uno de los principales elementos de la vestimenta de los individuos de casi todas las sociedades a través de la historia, que ha indicado el estatus social, así como la distinción de diferentes grupos dentro de una sociedad, que van desde el ejército y la profesión, hasta las aficiones y los deportes. El aporte invaluable de esta colección de sombreros que se presenta en este libro, es que, además de poder reconocerlos por su nombre, su material y su origen, permite al lector relacionar al sombrero con las marcas y los diseñadores.
