La semiótica como estrategia interpretativa en el arte contemporáneo: El caso de Boris Viskin
Resumen
A través de la obra del artista mexicano Boris Viskin (1960) y la exposición Boris Viskin La belleza llegará después, realizada en el MAM (2016), se analiza la importancia de la intertextualidad en los procesos de significación de las obras de arte contemporáneo. En este sentido, se estudia cómo las obras de Boris Viskin entablan discursos con otros textos y se propone expandir el concepto de intertextualidad a los procesos de catalogación, de diseño curatorial, museográfico y editorial. La investigación se fundamenta en los abordajes semióticos sobre intertextualidad de Julia Kristeva y Roland Barthes, así como la transtextualidad de Gerard Genette. Through the artworks of the Mexican artist Boris Viskin (1960-) and the exhibition Boris Viskin Beauty will come later held at the MAM (2016), the article analyses the importance of intertextuality in the processes of meaning of contemporary artworks. In this sense, it studies how Boris Viskin’s works engage in discourses with other texts and it proposes to expand the concept of intertextuality to the processes of cataloging and also the curatorial, museum and editorial design. The research is based on the semiotic approaches to intertextuality of Julia Kristeva and Roland Barthes, as well as the transtextuality of Gerard Genette.
