Abstract
En el arte contemporáneo, la ciudad y sus intersticios son más que un tema a abordar, como enfatiza Marc Augé los artistas tienen una innegable necesidad de [la ciudad y sus] ruinas como una invitación a la experiencia del tiempo". lnterest in incorporating what has brought the artistic production in relation to the city transfarmed, particular/y in those interstitial sites, abandoned or vacant lots, underlies the idea that the city has come to stand as an engine of change, stage and -more than that- laboratory tests far recent generations of artists. The situation that reflects the work of art as a fundamental purpose of characterization of the metropolis is a reality that should not pass up those investigations in the realm of urbanism and architecture; then, we can pick up that aesthetic feeds some concerns to the experience of making architecture and make city; also, we can assimilate that new contributions that serve the fragmented urban landscape, obsolete or dilapidated, beyond to artistic production and its theoretical basis. lt is appropriate, far the planning and architecture of today, highlight how artists demonstrate a fascination far the landscapes of otherness, far territories in which the waste is raw material, an inspiration or support the work of art; interstices where undo (destroy) is privileged beyond the conventional way of build. In many of the mechanisms that constitute contemporary art, the city and its interstices are more than one tapie to address, as Marc Augé emphasize, "artists have an undeniable need far [the city and its] ruins as an invitation to experience time "; various processes of the city planning and the architectural object design converge with those of the arts today.
