El presente ensayo propone un análisis del personaje Donnie Darko, de la película del mismo nombre, a partir de las referencias que la cinta hace de las tradiciones literarias inglesas, romántica y gótica, y de observar cómo se adaptan estas tradiciones a un contexto contemporáneo.
