In this work, the preparation of hybrid material type brucite was studied, known as double laminar hydroxide of Zn and Al, capable of harboring an active molecule known as streptomycin, inhibiting protein synthesis while attacking the 30s and 16s subunits of the ribosome, the interaction was also studied between the material and the pathogenic bacteria Shigella sonnei, since it generates resistance to common antibiotics and represents a global danger. HDL’s act as camouflages, because the bacteria identifies them as cofactors, however, in order to be stable, they need to have a support anion such as the NO₃ group. The analyzes of the material were carried out by FTIR-ATR and XRD, while the biological tests were carried out by means of the diffusion of the material on the agar and its respective observation under the microscope. Inhibition and elimination of S. sonnei was achieved using 500 μg / mL of hybrid material, with the ability to be recovered and used again with the same effectiveness.
