Nuevas tendencias para la Arquitectura hospitalaria: centrada en el paciente

Abstract

En Los hospitales del siglo XXI, tienen el compromiso de dejar atrás, los tradicionales edificios, oscuros, feos, laberinticos y aburridos. Los pacientes hoy quieren un hospital, que no solo sane sus cuerpos, sino que permita distraer y aportar a su alma, que su familia esté cerca en todo momento y, además, que la distracción sensorial forme parte de su recuperación. Los profesionales del diseño y la construcción tienen el reto maravilloso de repensar los nuevos hospitales con una arquitectura novedosa pero amable, e incluso con las mayores facilidades espaciales, logísticas y ambientales posibles. Los hospitales centrados en la persona contemplan conceptos de iluminación, claridad, señalética y orientación que permiten mejorar de manera significativa la experiencia del paciente vinculando de manera duradera y casi permanente al paciente y su familia a estos lugares hospitalarios. Esta nueva arquitectura hospitalaria debe comprometerse con: -Empujar los límites y establecer nuevos estándares. -Elaborar diseños prácticos y que sirven a un propósito. -Crear edificios y paisajes innovadores que ayudan a rediseñar la forma en que vivimos.

In the hospitals of the XXI century, they are committed to leaving behind the traditional buildings, dark, ugly, labyrinthine and boring. Patients today want a hospital that not only heals their bodies, but also allows them to be distracted and contribute to their soul, that their family is close at all times and, in addition, that sensory distraction is part of their recovery. Design and construction professionals have the wonderful challenge of rethinking new hospitals with a novel but friendly architecture, and even with the greatest possible spatial, logistical and environmental facilities. Person-centered hospitals contemplate concepts of lighting, clarity, signage, and orientation that significantly improve the patient experience by linking the patient and their family to these hospital settings in a lasting and almost permanent way. This new hospital architecture must commit to: -Pushing the limits and setting new standards. -Create practical and purposeful designs. -Create innovative buildings and landscapes that help redesign the way we live.
