En Baja California se practica la acuacultura del camarón desde 2006, sin embargo, su desarrollo está estancado, razón por la cual se busca estudiar y valorar por medio del diseño de un instrumento la competitividad de dicho sector. De forma general el instrumento se considera válido y fiable.
