Abstract
ABSTRACT: This essay is an analysis of one of the most representative novels of José
Revuelta’s Los días terrenales and it connects this discussion with Revueltas’ short history “Dormir en tierra”. Both narratives recreate the Political and-social contexts of Mexico in the 1930s, when unemployed people and peasants protested against their precarious situation. In these stories, the spirit of Christianity is present in the actions, discourse and thoughts of their characters. This makes words sacred and human at the same time. PALABRAS CLAVE: José Revueltas.
